Opening the Francofolies + Fairport's Cropredy Convention

A summer of two big firsts in the history of The Celtic Social Club.
First up, Les Francofolies de La Rochelle. Our very first time at one of the biggest festivals in France — and we got to open the Jean-Louis Foulquier stage. On paper, maybe not the most obvious place for The Celtic Social Club, and that's exactly what made it matter.

Then, a few weeks later, another first, on the other side of the Channel: Fairport's Cropredy Convention, and our first time on the main stage of that landmark of British folk and folk-rock.
|
Walking onto that stage meant something special to us.
Singling out two nights in the middle of a tour is never easy, especially when the whole idea of The Celtic Social Club is to make every gig an event. But in a band's story, some dates end up becoming landmarks. This summer, La Rochelle and Cropredy are two of them.
|
So thank you to every promoter, festival, crew and volunteer who took us in this summer. We had some seriously good times in your company.

And above all, thank you to the crowds
To those who were already there, and to the many of you who discovered us for the first time this summer: welcome on board. Having you along for the ride means a hell of a lot to us.

Now we're going to rest up and disappear for a few weeks… Because in September, we've got a very big announcement for you. And then it'll already be time to hit the road again in October and November for the final run of the YOU SHOULD KNOW TOUR.
